Dear Event Board, My husband and I, along with my brother in law and his fiance' would like to throw a surprise wedding anniversary party for my in laws. We want to invite everyone to a surprise dinner but need to tactfully indicate on the invitation that everyone is to pay for their own dinner. Since we are newly married and my brother in law is planning his wedding, we want to spend our money on a nice gift for the parents and cannot afford to pay for the dinner as well. Any suggestions?
