This is a pretty common question and I don't get why there aren't more sites including this information. I'm planning a bridal shower where I'd like the guests to pay for their own meal. Here's what I came up with. "Please purchase your own meal, as your presence is your gift to Heather If you wish to also purchase a gift, contact Stacey for registry information." How is that? Does it still sound tacky or pressure people to also buy a gift?
